Product Care

HAND MADE PRODUCTS

Our products are made by hand and crafted from natural materials; therefore will have small imperfections / differences in shape, size and colour, which are part of the charm of a handmade product.  This part of the handmade process is what makes our products unique and will never affect the overall aesthetic of the product and its ability for use as intended.

OIL FINISHED WOOD

Avoid having the wood surface in direct sunlight or next to strong heat sources. Wipe clean with a damp non-abrasive cloth, then buff off with a clean, dry cloth. Wipe up wine, oil and any liquids that might stain as quickly as possible. Avoid using any chemical cleaning products as this will remove the protective layer of oil and damage the wood.

Even so, our oiled finished wood requires some low level maintenance to keep the wood protected and looking its best. We suggest using "Osmo Wash and Care" for cleaning, which contains soaps and oils that will prolong the protective oil finish and maintain its resistance to stains.

BRASS

All our brass are un-lacquered and will carry on developing a natural patina over time.   Any smudges such as fingerprints or wear can be lightly buffed off with Brasso metal polish and a soft lint-free cloth.  If you wish to maintain the high reflective shine of the brass, we recommend applying "Renaissance Wax" after polishing the piece, then buffing off with a soft lint-free cloth

STAINLESS STEEL

Any smudges such as fingerprints or wear can polished off with soft lint-free cloth and metal polish.  We use grade 304 stainless steel which are highly corrosion resistant, so minimal care is required.

GLASS

Avoid placing in direct sunlight or next to strong heat sources. Carefully dust with duster or wipe marks off with a clean, lint-free cloth. It is important not to use any abrasive cleaning products as this could damage the surrounding wood or metal.

LEATHER

Avoid placing in direct sunlight or next to strong heat sources.

Clean carefully with a clean, soft cloth. It is important not to use any chemical cleaning products , as this will damage the leather as well as the surrounding wood or metal .
